White Trash on Exhibit at Marin Arts Council Through July 15

Hi Contemporary Textile Art Lovers,

I am happy to announce that "White Trash", a costume made out of fused white Glad trash bags, machine embroidered with a dragon, was requested by Argo and Colleen at Marin Arts Council to be part of the Pop Art Show last Friday night. I heard from folks that the costume looked embodied by the King himself, standing in the front door of the gallery exhibit. In addition, "Maryln" was there too, all decked out in her red bubblewrap dress, "Some Like It Hot", and her pink bubblewrap dress, "Diamond's Are A Girl's Best Friend". After the show, "Elvis" was moved to the Falkirk Cultural Center in San Rafael, where he will be on view through August 20. I hope to see you there on Opening Night, June 17 from 5-7 pm.

Elise
